Staff Profile
Dr. Troxel's research focuses on understanding how sleep and social relationships impact health and well- being. She is the recipient of an Early Career Award from the National Heart Lung Blood Institute (NHLBI) and is the Principle Investigator of the Military Couples Sleep Study, also funded by NHLBI. Her research has been published in top-tier medical and psychological journals and her work has also received widespread media attention from national news outlets. By studying the dynamic links between close relationships, sleep, and health within military and civilian families, Dr. Troxel hopes to improve the lives of veterans and their families, and civilian families alike.
