Staff Profile
Barry Fisher MD is the Medical Director of the PTSD/Behavioral Medicine Clinic at the Highland Dr. VAMC in Pittsburgh. He is the immediate-past President of the PA Psychiatric Society and a former President of the Pittsburgh Psychiatric Society. Dr. Fisher graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine and completed his residency in Psychiatry at WPIC and the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He is Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry in the Dept of Psychiatry at the Univ. of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and is Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Drexel University College of Medicine, Allegheny Campus. He is currently a co-investigator in a study comparing pharmacotherapy to psychotherapy for the treatment of sleep disorders in veterans diagnosed with PTSD.
